Am I eligible for rent subsidy?
That depends on your personal situation, whether you have a self-contained or non self-contained room and whether the rent for your room is high enough. To obtain details about rent calculations, you can e-mail us at huurtoeslag@idealis.nl.

How do I apply for rent subsidy?
You can do so by filling in a request form, which you can obtain from the tax authorities, telephone (0800)05 43 or via www.belastingdienst.nl of www.toeslagen.nl.

How do I apply for household effects insurance?
You can find complete information about household effects insurance on our website, www.idealis.nl. Applications via our website only.

How do I report a claim?
You can report claims directly to Raetsheren van Orden.
- Claims should be reported directly to the insurer within 72 hours.
- The telephone number for reporting claims during office hours is (020) 66 04 330.
- The telephone number for claims outside of office hours is (020) 65 15 919.

I would like to authorize a direct debit
To authorize direct debits, we need to have a written instruction from you with your account number and signature, along with your name and address details. You can download the form from our website or fill it in at our office. You can also send us a letter with the above details.

May I change an account number for direct debits by sending an e-mail message?
No. Unfortunately, that is not possible. We always require a document that shows your account number and your signature. This is a requirement by the bank.

Did I pay too much rent?
If an incorrect amount of rent is deducted or you have paid too much yourself, you should contact the Finance Department via telephone number (0317) 42 61 61 and the surplus amount will be re-deposited in your account as soon as possible; or send an e-mail message to Financiën@idealis.nl.

Corridor representative

How do I volunteer for the role of corridor representative?
Fill in the 'corridor representative information form'. You can pick up a copy of this form at our office, Duivendaal 1, or you can download it from our website.

What happens to the cleaning charges when no corridor representative has been announced?
As long as Idealis does not know who the corridor representative is, no cleaning refunds will be paid out.

How do I report changes concerning the corridor representative?
By filling in the 'corridor representative information form'.

May two people serve as a corridor representative?
Yes.

May the account number for the cleaning charges and compensation for the corridor representative be a private number?
Yes.

What is the starting date?
The first of the month. However, the starting date may not precede the starting date of your tenancy agreement.

Why does the amount of cleaning charges sometimes differ per month?
No cleaning charges are paid out for rooms that are vacant. In retrospect, if a room was in fact rented, a correction will take place the following month.

If a room is rented or vacated halfway through a month, how are the cleaning charges calculated?
The amount of the cleaning charges is then calculated on the basis of the number of days that the room is rented.
