AIO (Trainee Research Assistant)/PhD Apartments Focus Group
AIO (Trainee Research Assistant)/PhD Apartments Target Group The AIO/PhD apartments, including those on the Nobelweg, Lombardi, Kloostersteeg, the Salvowoningen and the Pedelgebouw are intended for AIOs/PhDs at the WUR. You belong to this focus group if, as an AIO/PhD, you have a permanent employment contract with the WUR. If an institution other than the WUR pays for your AIO/PhD research, you do not have an employment contract with the WUR. In that case, you do not belong to the focus group. And you can not apply for an AIO/PHD-apartment.

Do you belong to this focus group and are you interested in renting an unfurnished 2- or 3-room apartment? Then you can register directly with us. Take into consideration that the waiting time for these apartments is very long! We will advertise the empty apartments on website.

Procedure
Idealis provides 108 unfurnished apartments for the target group mentioned above. When you are interested in one of these apartments; you have to register first. You can do so online. After filling in and submitting the digital form, you will automatically receive a confirmation and a client number. This number serves as your registration number. Idealis works with an accommodation-offer model. This means that, to be eligible for an accommodation, you must apply online for accommodation on offer. You should regularly check our site to see what our offers are.

When allocating PhD-apartments, Idealis tenants have priority over non-Idealis tenants. In addition, your registration as house seeker must agree with your AIO/PhD employment contract. In other words, your registration date as house seeker may not be earlier than the start of your AIO/PhD agreement. If you are registered as a student house seeker who, during the course of this registration, becomes an AIO/PhD, your focus group will change. You must then re-register as house seeker and accumulate new waiting-period credits for an AIO/PhD apartment. As a houseseeker, you are responsible for the data of your registration as a homeseeker.

Turn over policy
Whithin one year after your employment with the WUR ends, you are obliged to vacate your accommodation.
