Complaints about fellow tenantsExperiencing inconvenience? When people live together in close quarters, they can inconvenience one another. This could entail noise pollution, for example, harassment or illegal occupancy. Everyone experiences inconvenience at some time or other. Your fellow tenant often is not even aware that he or she is causing inconvenience to others. In any case, it is essential that we make allowances for each other. Experiencing inconvenience? Do something about it If you experience inconvenience, you should contact the person causing it and make arrangements with each other. Do not wait too long. Do something about it. You should not do this when the inconvenience reaches a peak, which could unleash all that bottled up anger. That is not the way to achieve your objective. Stay calm but make yourself perfectly clear. Need advice? If you need advice or information, you should contact your building caretaker. He can advise you about what additional steps to take. If necessary, he can accompany you to contact the person causing the inconvenience. Serious inconvenience If you still cannot resolve the problem with your fellow tenant, you can send a complaint about inconvenience to the building caretaker, with the following information:
Your building caretaker will then notify a staff member of Idealis' social control. This person will then invite you for an interview to discuss the situation in detail. Afterwards, in consultation, the person causing the inconvenience will be contacted. The social control staff member will try to determine the nature of the problem. A solution will then be sought for all the parties concerned. You will have to continue actively working on a solution to the problem. If no solution is possible and the situation is considered extremely serious. Idealis will then investigate whether a legal measure is feasible to compel the person concerned to stop causing the inconvenience. The social control staff member will keep you informed about this. An unbearable situation In an unbearable situation, in which inconvenience results from theft, breaking and entering, threats or extreme inconvenience, call the police (telephone number 0900-8844). You can also do this for serious noise pollution after 22.00 hours. In the event of an emergency, you should call 112. Notify us afterwards about the situation. This is important to enable Idealis to take action regarding the situation. Illegal occupancy and vandalism If you learn that a room in your corridor is being occupied illegally, you should notify the caretaker of this. Due partly to the additional problems it presents, Idealis does not tolerate illegal occupancy. If you encounter any vandalism, you should also notify the caretaker. For further information, you can contact the caretaker by telephone or e-mail. |
