Moving into your furnished accommodation


General
The SSC (Student Service Centre) has given you the address of your new accommodation. On the first working day after your arrival, you must sign your tenancy agreement for your accommodation, at the Idealis office. You must also pay the first month's rent and the additional costs. This payment can be made in cash or with your pin or credit card.

Keys and checklist
You have received the keys from the SSC, your contact person or Idealis. When handing over the keys, you also received a checklist of the inventory of the accommodation. When signing your tenancy agreement you will also receive a 'state of the room' form. This form is part of your tenancy agreement.


If, after inspecting the accommodation, you are not satisfied with the state of the accommodation and/or inventory, you need to report this to your caretaker within five days of arrival. If you do not report any defects, we will assume that you have approved the state of your accommodation and inventory.

Furniture
All accommodation furniture includes a desk, chair, bed and wardrobe. Curtains and mattress are also supplied. All of these items must be left behind when you vacate the accommodation. They are part of the inventory. Idealis also provides you a linen parcel, containing a duvet, duvet cover, pillow, pillowcase and mattress sheet. When you leave your accommodation, you can take the linen parcel with you.

Internet connection
When you rent an accommodation from Idealis, you also get a cheap, high-speed Internet connection. This cost is included in your rent.

Insurance
Idealis cannot be held responsible for any damage to your home furnishings (i.e. furniture). We, therefore, recommend that you take out fire and theft insurance, as well as a third-party liability insurance. Idealis offers its tenants good, inexpensive fire and theft insurance that protects you against fire, water, theft and burglary damage.
