Housekeeping mattersCorridor accountMost corridors have a corridor account from which shared expenses are paid. This account is managed by the corridor representative. Each month you pay a certain amount for the cleaning of the corridor as part of the service charges. If the corridor is cleaned satisfactorily, this amount is refunded to the corridor account. The corridor representative is responsible for ensuring that you get this amount back. Naturally, it is also possible for this money to be left in the account so that shared expenses can be paid from it. Tenants arrange this between themselves without any intervention from Idealis. Corridor debts Unfortunately, it may also be the case that a tenant on your corridor has a corridor debt. Click here to find out the best ways to prevent this or, if necessary, how this situation can be resolved. Equipment of common areas When you arrive on a corridor, you will notice that the common areas are usually already fully equipped. Some of these things will belong to fellow tenants and some to a limited inventory belonging to Idealis (these can be identified by Idealis stickers). You pay a small amount as part of the service charges for the inventory belonging to Idealis. These contents are taken care of by Idealis, including maintenance and their replacement. You must therefore organise this yourself. Naturally, you can arrange a connection yourself or use your mobile. Another alternative is to make calls via VoIP or skype, i.e. via your PC. |
