Information about maintenanceWe believe that it is important to involve our tenants and to keep them well informed about (the performance of) planned maintenance. By 'involving tenants' we mean that we sound out tenants' opinions in the preparation stage which is then taken into account in the method used to carry out the work. By 'keeping our tenants well informed' we mean that tenants will be informed in good time about what work is going to be carried out and when.In what way are tenants involved? The starting point is that tenants have choices in the event of planned maintenance works within the rented premises. The rented premises are the rooms behind the corridor door, for example, the shared kitchen, individual rooms, the corridor hallway, showers and toilets, laundry room, etc. Within the rented premises, we give tenants the greatest possible freedom of choice when it comes to alterations with a short life span (e.g. paintwork). We also opt to give tenants freedom of choice when it comes to alterations with a longer lifespan (e.g. replacing the kitchen) by presenting a number of options (for example, by means of a survey). Ultimately, the option with the most votes is the one that we carry out. Role of building chairperson Each building has a representative; this person plays an important role in the communication relating to maintenance works. The building chairperson indicates when certain things are required within a building. We will then look to see whether this is included in the maintenance budget. We also discuss with the representative how the tenants will be informed about the different activities. Performance of work At least 5 days before work starts, you will receive a letter from Idealis. You will then be able to read what will be happening and when, what you can expect from Idealis and what Idealis expects from you. |
