Residual household refuse: Residual household refuse is what is left after separating the refuse according to this refuse guide. Where should I deposit it? Collect it at a central location, for example, in the (common) kitchens. If you live in a building where the cleaning service collects the refuse, on collection days you should place it in a sturdy, closed garbage bag on the hallway side of the corridor door before 8.00 hours. If your complex does not have a cleaning service, you should then regularly deposit it in the household refuse containers on the grounds. Organic refuse: Vegetables, fruit and leftovers Where should I deposit it? Collect it in the (common) kitchens in a refuse bin and deposit it regularly in the green organic refuse container on the grounds. If applicable to your complex, do not place refuse bins on the walkways. As part of the escape routes, these must be kept free of obstacles. Green refuse bins with lids are available via the caretaker. Paper/carton: Newspapers, magazines, folders, carton and non-plasticized paper/carton! Where should I deposit it? Deposit it regularly in the paper containers on the grounds or, if you live in a complex where it is collected, you should place it at a central location in a common room on your corridor. On collection days, tie the paper in bundles or pack it in full boxes and place it on the hallway side of the corridor door before 08.00 hours, where the cleaning service will collect it. Tip: Reduce the amount of unwanted and unaddressed printed matter and/or free local papers by depositing a NEE -NEE or JA-NEE sticker on the mailbox. You can get the stickers at the town hall. Plastic packing refuse: Plastic bottles, packing material, carrier bags Where should I deposit it? Let the fat/butter solidify; wrap it in a sheet of paper and throw it away with your residual household refuse. Place the cooking oil or liquid frying fat in closed packing and throw it away with your residual household refuse in the household refuse containers on the grounds. Household chemical refuse: (Long-life) lamps, fluorescent lights, paint residue, frying fat and medicines (you can also deposit medicines at pharmacies). Where do I deposit it? Collect it in closed packing/pots/bottles in the red eco box located on your corridor. You must regularly take the filled eco box to the eco bus. See the refuse calendar of the municipality of Wageningen for stopping places, dates, and times of the eco bus. If there is no red eco box with a lid on your corridor, you can get one via the caretaker. Batteries: household batteries, no storage batteries, battery chargers etc. Where should I deposit them? Deposit them in the red refuse container on the grounds or take them to the eco bus. Bulk refuse: furniture, carpet Where do I deposit it?
