Saving energy
In recent years, Idealis has invested heavily in energy-saving measures. We do this in a variety of ways. For example, energy-efficient central heating boilers have replaced the old boilers in many complexes and new water-saving taps have been installed. With large-scale energy projects, we have also installed new fittings with energy-efficient lamps.
But you can also help save energy. It's easy. You will contribute to a better environment and save money. Use energy-saving bulbs, for example. These lights consume much less electricity than the old-fashioned incandescent lamps. You can also turn down the heating an extra degree.
At this site you will find some practical tips for doing this. And most of these tips won't cost you anything!
The "That was Easy" campaign
In late October 2011 Idealis launched the That was Easy campaign - a promotion designed to make our tenants even better aware of the measures they can take themselves. We are doing this via this website and with stickers and posters, among other things. A striking example is the floor stickers in the Wageningen student buildings with lifts, which urge everyone
to use the stairs more often.
