The world is changing
Idealis will focus the coming years on improving the quality of the older buildings – among which are the ‘sterflats’ – as well as their sustainability. By doing this, Idealis wants to match the buildings to the (future) housing wishes of the students. The past few years have shown an increase in the demand for better quality housing, such as a larger living space, more (independent) amenities and possibilities for meeting others within the building. Still, a large group of students will mostly prefer a more affordable room.
Sterflats
The ‘sterflats’ Asserpark and Hoevestein are to be renovated in 2024 and 2026 respectively. Dijkgraaf will be next in 2027/2028. In the case of the last building, we will examine in the coming scheduled period whether it can match this future quality through renovations. Regardless of the result of this examination, Dijkgraaf will be removed from operation so that large-scale renovations, if not potentially demolition (should this proof the better option), can be carried out.
This is how we achieve our successes
In addition to improving towards this different quality, Idealis will continue to invest in affordability, availability and personal and digital services. In order to realise this, Idealis actively seeks out cooperation with other parties.
With the Business Plan, Idealis wants to take a big step towards the future. Together with partners, Idealis will continue to assess what the wishes and expectations of this target group are, and what Idealis could and wants to mean for them.
