A few weeks ago we brought you up to date on the rise in energy costs (gas and electricity). We now have more information on the definitive rates. 

The advance payments for service costs will increase on 1 January 2023
We usually raise the advance payments for services on the 1st of July. Due to the enormous rise in energy costs we are implementing an intermediate increase in January 2023. The reasoning being that you will then have to pay less later when receiving the annual settlement for service costs. The attached letter will outline what this means for you. These new advance payments were done in consultation with the tenants’ association SFO.

Payment
Do you pay with direct debit? Then you won’t have to do anything. Do you pay your rent another way? Then make sure that the monthly payment is increased by the amount indicated in the attached letter.

Financial problems
The Wageningen municipality has stated that students who are facing financial troubles can go to the start point (www.wageningen.nl/startpunt). In addition, you can contact us so that we may come up with tailored solutions.
