What are we planning?
- Creating new communal areas for residents
- Adding extra study spaces where you can work in peace
- Designing a new entrance with a modern look and feel
- Developing office space for Idealis
- Building a larger bicycle storage area, as the current bike shed on the premises will be removed
Why this renovation?
This initiative is driven by three key developments:
- Greener campus – The street-level bike shed will be removed to make room for a green entrance.
- Greater need for meeting spaces – Students have indicated there’s a lack of places to gather or study.
- More efficient operations – Idealis currently operates from two locations, one of which will be closed. Bornsesteeg will become the new central hub.
What’s the timeline?
- Autumn 2025: Investigations will be carried out to prepare for the renovation of Bornsesteeg.
- December 2025: The results and design will be presented to Bornsesteeg residents, along with detailed planning information.
