As early as 2022, 264 students will be able to live, study and work here for a bright future. Construction will officially start on Friday, October 8.
Costerweg
The new building at Costerweg 65 consists of three buildings containing 264 student units with high-quality facilities, where students live independently or together. The 144 independent student homes are located in a building of up to eight floors with an elevator. The twelve group homes have space for 120 student rooms with collective kitchen, toilet and bathroom. Much attention has also been paid to the outdoor space. For example, a bicycle shed will rise completely out of sight, with a butterfly garden on the roof, which was designed together with the 'Vlinderstichting'.
Students can meet each other in a light and green environment. Students can also meet each other on the concrete steps at the edges of the butterfly garden. In this way, the Costerweg will soon be an inspiring place where students can develop their creativity and talents.
Future-proof
A collective heat pump with heat and cold storage in the soil heats the building and provides hot water. The solar panels on the roofs of the three student buildings generate the necessary electricity for this unique building. This makes the Costerweg complex as future-proof as possible.
