Costerweg 65

The new building at Costerweg 65 will comprise a total of 264 units. These will be divided into 120 rooms with shared facilities and 144 self-contained rooms. The rooms with shared facilities will be in 12 communal blocks, each of which will contain 10 rooms. The self-contained rooms will be in a building with a maximum of 8 floors. This building will have a lift and the ground floor will incorporate a central washing-machine area and 2 meeting rooms.

Bicycle storage will be available in a half-sunken bike shed. On the roof of this bike shed there will be a butterfly garden, which has been designed together with the Wageningen Butterfly Conservation Society.

The new building will be a gas-free construction. An underground heat/cold storage system will be used to heat the building and provide hot water. The electricity required will be generated using solar panels installed on the roofs.
